When you’re done working out, you can’t just stop all movement. You need to take some time to stretch out your muscles. Stretching helps improve flexibility and releases any built-up tension in your muscles. Stretching also reduces the chance of soreness and it can increase your range of motion. You should stretch all your muscles, but pay particular attention to the ones you worked the most. It can be helpful to have a set routine for stretching once you’re finished exercising.
